Client
- Over the past 8 years I have enjoyed working with Austin Tilsley, Director Championships at The R&A. Championship Golf, has been part of my working life since 1995 so I am thrilled that I can bring my experience and knowledge to The Open.
The Challenge
- For the Official Partners and Media Partners such as NetJets Europe, UPS, NBC Sports Group, navigating their way through the different teams at the R&A and their subcontractors to plan and deliver their hospitality requirements was a minefield and time consuming, often leading to onsite complications.
The Solution
Devlin Consulting has been appointed to be the single point of contact for the Official Partners. Taking a proactive approach we:
- Identifying client requirements for design and fit out of their Hospitality Suites.
- Developing client information packs, order forms, coordinating client briefs with caterers, florist and fit-out contractors.
- Liaise with ticketing and traffic management teams to meet client expectations.
- Over the years our Project Management role has grown and we now work closely with The Open Staging & Sales teams in planning the main the Hospitality structure which encompasses 3 restaurants, 8 private Suites (1800 Guests) to deliver world class hospitality.
- We are responsible for the engagement training and allocation of the Hostess team.
- Participate at the Caterers menu tasting, providing final numbers and client specific requirements.
- Onsite, pre-event we check the structure and ensure the fit out is on track, problem solving as required.
- During Championship week ensure the structure operates to the agreed standards both in terms of legal compliance and catering, cleaning and guest experience & welfare.
